Slow Sundays Mail Club — Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 2026
Welcome to Slow Sundays Mail Club. These Terms & Conditions explain how our monthly subscription works, including payments, cancellations, delivery and what happens if something goes wrong.
By subscribing to Slow Sundays Mail Club, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. About Slow Sundays Mail Club
Slow Sundays Mail Club is an independent monthly subscription created and assembled in Devon, UK.
Each month, subscribers receive a thoughtfully designed envelope of illustrated paper goods and other small, creative things intended to encourage you to slow down, switch off and make a little time for yourself.
Every monthly envelope will include:
-
A monthly letter
-
An illustrated sticker
-
A piece of art to keep
-
An additional item or activity that changes each month, such as a creative prompt, mini zine, paper object or other surprise
The contents are inspired by that month's theme and may vary from month to month.
2. Subscriptions
Slow Sundays Mail Club is a monthly subscription.
When you subscribe, your subscription will continue automatically each month, until you cancel it.
There is no minimum subscription period unless otherwise stated at the point of purchase.
You can cancel your subscription at any time, subject to the cancellation terms set out below.
3. Monthly Sign-Up Cut-Off
Each month's subscription has a sign-up cut-off date.
The cut-off falls during the third week of each month, although the exact date may vary from month to month.
The applicable cut-off date will be advertised each month on our website and/or social media.
If you subscribe on or before the advertised cut-off date, you will receive the next month's envelope.
If you subscribe after the cut-off date, your first envelope will be sent as part of the month's after collection.
For example the cut off is 20th Oct: If you sign up before the cut off on the 16th Oct, you will recieve Novembers mail, if you sign up after the cut off on the 21th Oct, you will recieve Decembers mail.
We may change the monthly cut-off date where reasonably necessary, but we will make the applicable date clear when subscriptions are available.
4. Subscription Payments
You will be charged on the day of your inital purchase.
Your subscription payment will then be taken automatically each month, on the same date you signed up, via the payment method provided when you subscribe.
The subscription price, including UK postage, will be clearly displayed at the time of purchase.
If a payment fails, we may attempt to take the payment again using the payment method associated with your subscription. Your subscription may be paused or cancelled if payment cannot be successfully collected.
You are responsible for ensuring that your payment details remain accurate and up to date.
Prices, discounts and promotions may change from time to time. Any change to the price of an ongoing subscription will be communicated to existing subscribers before the new price applies.
5. Cancelling Your Subscription
You can cancel your Slow Sundays Mail Club subscription at any time.
If you cancel your subscription before your monthly billing date, you will not be charged for, or receive, the next envelope. Please note, if you orginally subscribed shortly after a cut off date, you may still recieve the next months envelope as you would have already paid for this as part of your subscription.
If you cancel your subscription after your monthly billing date, your next month's envelope will already have been prepared for fulfilment. You will still be charged for that month's subscription and your envelope will be sent as planned. Your cancellation will then take effect for subsequent months, meaning no further payments will be taken.
For example, if your billing date is the 20th September and you cancel on the 22nd September you will still be charged for and receive the October envelope. You will not be charged for the November envelope.
You can cancel your subscription through your Shopify customer account or by contacting us. If you have any difficulty cancelling your subscription, please get in touch and we will be happy to help.
6. Your Statutory Cancellation Rights
Depending on when and how you purchase your subscription, you may have statutory cancellation rights under UK consumer law.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to remove or restrict any statutory rights you may have.
Where a legal cooling-off or cancellation period applies, we will provide any information required by law about how to exercise that right.
7. Monthly Envelopes
We design each monthly collection with care and aim to send it during the last week of the preceding month, so that it arrives around the beginning of the relevant month.
For example, an October collection will normally be posted during the final week of September.
We may occasionally need to change the dispatch date due to circumstances such as printing delays, supplier issues or other events outside our reasonable control.
If this happens, we will make reasonable efforts to keep subscribers informed.
8. Delivery
Slow Sundays Mail Club currently delivers within the UK only.
Envelopes are sent using regular, untracked Royal Mail post.
We expect UK deliveries to arrive approximately 3–7 working days after dispatch, although delivery times can occasionally be longer.
Because our envelopes are sent using an untracked postal service, we cannot provide individual tracking information.
If your envelope has not arrived within 5 weeks of the advertised dispatch date, please contact us so that we can investigate and determine the appropriate next step.
We cannot guarantee a specific delivery date.
9. Delivery Addresses and Account Management
You are responsible for providing an accurate and complete delivery address when subscribing.
If you change address, please update your details through your Shopify customer account before your next envelope is dispatched.
We cannot be responsible for an envelope being delivered incorrectly where an incorrect or incomplete address was provided by the customer.
If you have entered an incorrect address, please contact us as soon as possible. If the envelope has not yet been dispatched, we will do our best to update the address.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for activity carried out through your account. You must not transfer, sell, assign or license your account to another person.
By using the Services, you confirm that you are legally able to enter into a binding agreement under applicable UK law.
10. Damaged, Faulty or Missing Items
We take care when preparing and packaging every Slow Sundays envelope and make reasonable efforts to ensure that items are securely packaged before dispatch.
Our envelopes are sent using regular, untracked Royal Mail post. Once an envelope has been dispatched, postal handling and delivery are outside our direct control. However, this does not affect your statutory rights.
Postal services can occasionally be less than gentle, and an envelope or its contents may arrive damaged.
If your envelope arrives damaged, contains a faulty item, or something appears to be missing, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible and let us know what has happened.
Where appropriate, we may ask you to provide photographs of the envelope and/or its contents. This helps us understand what happened and, where necessary, raise the issue with the postal provider.
If goods are damaged or otherwise fail to meet your statutory rights, we will work with you to provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable UK consumer law. This may include a replacement, repair or refund where appropriate.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits your statutory rights.
11. Contents and Variations
Every monthly collection is intended to feel a little different.
Images, colours, themes and examples shown on our website or social media may not always be an exact representation of the contents you receive.
We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to individual items where necessary, for example because of availability, printing issues or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where we need to replace an item, we will aim to provide something of a similar nature and value wherever reasonably possible.
We take care to package items appropriately for postal delivery. However, standard postal handling may occasionally result in minor wear, creasing, bending or other marks during transit.
Where an item arrives damaged or does not meet the standards required by UK consumer law, please contact us and we will consider the appropriate remedy in accordance with your statutory rights.
12. Intellectual Property
All artwork, illustrations, written content, designs and other original materials created for Slow Sundays Mail Club remain the intellectual property of Slow Sundays Mail Club and/or the relevant creator.
Your subscription gives you permission to enjoy and use the physical items you receive personally.
Unless we have given you permission, you must not reproduce, sell, distribute or commercially use our artwork, designs, written materials or other original content.
13. Website Information
We take reasonable care to ensure that information on our website is accurate and up to date.
However, colours and images displayed on screens may vary slightly from the physical products you receive.
We reserve the right to update website content, prices, subscription information and product descriptions where reasonably necessary.
Any changes to the price of an ongoing subscription will be communicated to existing subscribers before the new price applies.
14. Limitation of Liability
We will always take reasonable care when designing, preparing and packaging your Slow Sundays envelope.
Once an envelope has been dispatched, postal handling and delivery are outside our direct control. We therefore cannot guarantee that every envelope will arrive exactly as it was when it left us, or that delivery will always take place within the estimated delivery timeframe.
We are not responsible for delays or postal handling issues caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, such as postal delays, industrial action, severe weather, natural disasters or technical failures.
However, where goods are damaged, lost, faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to meet your statutory rights before or upon delivery, please contact us and we will endeaver to arrange a replacement for you as appropriate.
Where goods are damaged or lost during delivery by a postal service arranged by us, we will deal with the matter in accordance with applicable UK consumer law.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.
15. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control
We will not be liable for failure or delay in performing our obligations where this is caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
This may include, for example:
-
Postal service disruption or significant delays
-
Strikes or industrial action
-
Severe weather
-
Natural disasters
-
Fire or other serious disruption
-
Supplier or printing problems
-
Technical failures
-
Other events that could not reasonably have been anticipated or prevented
Where such an event affects your subscription, we will make reasonable efforts to minimise the impact and keep you informed where appropriate.
16. Privacy
We will handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection law.
Your information may be used to process your subscription, take payments, prepare and deliver your monthly envelope, communicate with you about your subscription and provide customer support.
Our Privacy Policy will explain in more detail how we, Shopify and relevant service providers use personal information.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our service, website or applicable law.
The latest version will always be made available on our website.
Where a change materially affects your existing subscription, we will provide reasonable notice where required.
18. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, you will also retain any mandatory protections and rights provided to you under the laws that apply to your purchase.

The Services may use third-party tools, payment services or contain links to third-party websites. We do not control or accept responsibility for third-party websites, services, products or content. Your use of third-party services is subject to the relevant provider’s own terms and policies.

Certain personal information may be processed by Shopify and other service providers as necessary to operate the website, process payments and fulfil orders. Further information is set out in our Privacy Policy.
20. Prohibited Uses
You may use the Services only for lawful purposes. You must not use the Services to commit or facilitate unlawful activity, infringe intellectual property rights, transmit malicious code, impersonate another person, interfere with the operation or security of the website, or collect personal information about others without appropriate permission.
We may suspend or terminate access to the Services where we reasonably believe that these Terms have been breached.
21. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services where reasonably necessary, including where you materially breach these Terms. You remain responsible for any amounts properly due up to the date of termination.
Provisions concerning intellectual property, privacy, liability, governing law and any other provisions which by their nature should continue after termination will remain in effect.
22. Severability and Waiver
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be unlawful, void or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the fullest extent permitted by law and the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
If we do not immediately enforce a right or provision, this does not mean that we have waived that right or provision.
